North River Music 24th Season Proposals
Greenwich House Arts is now accepting proposals for the 24th season of North River Music through March 1, 2009. Participants chosen for the upcoming season (October 2009 through May 2010) will be announced on our website in May.
North River Music is essentially a composer-driven series. Our primary aim is to present living composers, world premières of works, as well as other contemporary solo/chamber works written within the the past 3 years. Additionally, we present artists who specialize in the performance of contemporary music. We also encourage composers/artists to share a few words about works being presented with our audience all within the intimate setting of Renee Weiler Concert Hall.
Please prepare a proposal outlining your intentions for presenting a concert on this series. Include some details about your works, program, instrumentation, guest artist info, etc. accordingly. Send proposals to Scott Taylor, Concert Manager at staylor@greenwichhouse.org with "NRM 24th Season Proposals" in the subject line or mail your proposal materials to:

Founded by Frank Wigglesworth in 1985, North River Music's Thursdays at 8 concerts continue to provide fresh impetus to the performance of new and experimental music. Over the course of the upcoming season, concerts featuring distinguished composers and performers of contemporary music will be presented. Each performance will take place within the quaint setting of the Renee Weiler Concert Hall and followed by a Meet-The-Composer/Artist-type reception.
Funding for this series is provided, in part, by the New York State Council on the Arts, the Foundation for Contemporary Performance Arts, the Virgil Thomson Foundation, the Aaron Copland Fund for Music, Amphion Foundation, and MEET THE COMPOSER.
