Holiday Gift Drive
To Benefit Our Children and Senior Programs
CHILDREN'S HOLIDAY WISH LIST
The children and families of Greenwich House programs are grateful for gifts from our thoughtful and generous friends. Here are some general guidelines to help you as you think about what would make the children happy:
Dolls: Because our children represent the wonderful diversity of our city, dolls of ethnic variety are very welcome.
Toys: General age-appropriate toys or games; arts supply sets; sports-related toys or equipment, i.e., soccer balls, foam/Nerf-type equipment. (Please, no weapon-type toys or games with violent content/themes.)
Books: Age-appropriate books or comics
Our Children's Safety Project and Preschool programs serve approximately 175 children, in the following age ranges:
| Male | Female | |
| Infant – 2yrs | 10 | 15 |
| 2 - 4 yrs | 20 | 20 |
| 5 - 7 yrs. | 30 | 30 |
| 8 - 10 yrs. | 20 | 20 |
| Over 10 yrs. | 20 | 20 |
SENIOR CITIZEN’S HOLIDAY WISH LIST
The members and clients of our senior programs would be thrilled to receive practical and thoughtful items that they could not purchase on their own fixed incomes. All gifts are welcome but here are some suggestions that will be appreciated and may spark your own imaginations for other ideas:
Food: Gifts of nuts, cookies or boxed chocolates would be special treats.
Other: Warm socks (unisex), hats/scarves/gloves, Lotion/Bath gift sets; art supplies for painting, writing journals; large-print books and crossword-puzzle books, robes, pajamas, house shoes, blankets.
Greenwich House has two programs that serve the needs of our seniors, a Senior Center and a Senior Citizens Health & Consultation Center. Together the programs serve approximately 80 seniors (50 female and 30 male)
Financial gifts are also welcome to support the gift drive or holiday parties at the preschool and senior center.
