Welcome to the Children's Safety Project

Children's Safety Project
Every family that comes to the Children’s Safety Project is attempting to cope with the aftermath of physical or sexual abuse, domestic violence, or other violent crimes. They may be dealing with feelings of guilt, shame, anger, depression, and powerlessness. Family circumstances and dynamics may have undergone drastic changes.
The program provides counseling and support services for children, adolescents, young adults, and their non-offending family members. We make an assessment of each family’s unique needs and plan an individualized program that incorporates one or more treatment methods. The focus is always on using each family’s strengths to promote healing and empowerment through:
- Individual Counseling
- Play and Sandtray Therapy
- Family Therapy
- Group Counseling
- Parent Support Services
- Personal Safety Services
- Community Education
Services are available in both English and Spanish.
Greenwich House is grateful to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the New York Tri-State area for its financial support of this unique program.
