Supporting artists and promoting the field of ceramics since 1904

Greenwich House Pottery welcomes students of all skill levels to learn or enhance their ceramics practice. Classes are led by highly skilled teaching artists at two studio locations: our historic ceramics center at 16 Jones Street in Greenwich Village and our exciting new studio at 80 Eighth Ave in Chelsea.

A Plan to Preserve and Modernize Our Facility in Greenwich Village

The Shape the Future capital campaign will raise $5 million for critical updates and enhancements so this community arts space can thrive for years to come.

The Pottery envisions an exciting modernization that respects the building’s architectural character, making way for:

  • an elevator

  • a new classroom

  • new kilns

  • the return of the outdoor garden

  • and much more

In addition to benefiting artists and students, these improvements will reduce the environmental footprint, making the Pottery a more accessible, energy-efficient, and responsible neighbor.
