Barrow Street Nursery School is a progressive, child centered, downtown community nursery school that has been providing a warm and nurturing learning environment for over thirty years. We prepare children for Kindergarten by creating a challenging academic curriculum supporting self-expression, and social interaction.
The staff is committed to fostering a space where children leave with a curiosity for life and a respect for others. We have six sunny classrooms, a full sized gymnasium, running track (for riding tricycles) and a 3500 square foot rooftop playground.
We have a highly trained and experienced staff of teachers and specialists who offer a wide variety of enriched activities. There is a high student to teacher ratio, and we have a comprehensive phase in process to help our little Two’s settle into school. We also offer assistance with the on going kindergarten process.

Directions

#1 to Christopher Street/Sheridan Square station. Walk south on 7th Avenue South and take a left onto Barrow Street.
A, B, C, D, E, F and V trains to West 4th Street station. Proceed to West 4th Street and walk three blocks west to Barrow Street. Take a left onto Barrow Street.
