Parent's Association
Parent involvement in their children’s education is crucial. Our parents are as much a part of Barrow Street Nursery School as their kids are.
The BSNSGH Parents Association (PA) is active in many ways -- from fundraising and event-organization to assisting in the classroom or on field trips. Without the PA, we wouldn’t be complete.

Information on Joining the Parent's Association
It is the goal of the Parents Association (PA) to support parents, children and teachers by helping to create a positive environment. The PA enhances the mission of BSNSGH by organizing and implementing activities that bring the BSNSGH community together. The PA acts as a liaison between the administration and all parents at BSNSGH. Any parent whose child is currently enrolled at Barrow Street Nursery School is encouraged to attend any and all PA meetings.
The PA is run by a group of parents that commit to serve for two to three years. The board positions are as follows: Co-Presidents, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. There are also approximately 7-12 committee heads that help to run the PA committees and work to recruit parent volunteers.
The group meets once a month (the 3rd Wednesday of the month) to organize various school events and to support our parents and teachers throughout the year.
There are several ways for parents to get involved. The PA has a number of committees that provide parents with opportunities to help, including: supporting our school’s environment, raising money for the school’s scholarship fund, planning school-wide events and updating our library. The PA also helps to organize the class parents and establish a network for each classroom to help disseminate information throughout the year. The PA is a great way to meet other parents in our community and most importantly, to see our kids in action and help to create more wonderful memories while at BSNSGH.
