3 in July: GWEN LASTER’S NEW MUSE 4TET

 July 10—Following an exuberantly received performance in April at the Chicago String Summit, composer/violinist Gwen Laster—a 2025 Guggenheim Award winner—performs original music inspired by African mythology, social justice, current events and the African Diaspora lexicon with her New Muse 4tet. This will be the New York cd release performance for the group’s, “Keepers of the Flame.” New Muse 4tet features Laster with Melanie Dyer (viola), Teddy Rankin-Parker (cello), and Andrew Drury who has played drums in Dance Clarinets, Greenwich House Music School’s resident ensemble, for a decade.
