DESCRIPTION:Jenny Day\nWednesday\, June 14\, 2023\nOnline Artist Talk\, 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. \nJenny Day will give an in-person talk about the project she is working on during her residency at Greenwich House Pottery. \nJenny Day is a painter who blends actual landscapes with imagery from her memory and from social media to create fantastical scenes that focus on small- and large-scale personal or environmental disasters. \nDay is based in Santa Fe\, NM. She earned an MFA in painting from the University of Arizona\, a BFA in painting and printmaking from the University of Alaska\, Fairbanks\, and a BA in environmental studies from the University of California\, Santa Cruz. Day has participated in residencies at Armory Art Center and Kimmel Harding Nelson Arts Center\, among others. Recent exhibitions include solo shows at Galerie Bengelstrater (Dusseldorf\, Germany; 2022)\, Jonathan Ferrara Gallery (New Orleans\, LA; 2021)\, and Alabama Contemporary Art Museum (Mobile\, AL; 2021).
