Loeke Sakkers

Loeke grew up in Brussels, Belgium where she began her dance training at the age of six at the Yantra Dance Academy. At age fifteen, Loeke moved to New York City to train at the Joffrey Ballet School under the direction of Era Jouravlev where she had the privilege of performing principal roles such as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Kitri and Esmeralda. After graduating, she started her career as a dancer with the Cleveland Ballet, where she had the opportunity to perform in classical ballets such as The Nutcracker and Coppelia. Loeke has a BFA in dance from New Jersey City University and a degree from the Institute for American Musical Theatre in NYC. Loeke has taught ballet at Yantra Dance Academy, Leggz Ltd., and the Joffrey Ballet School.
