Enter the Village Alliance’s Public Art Project Contest!

Calling all member artists from our centers! We’re teaming up with Village Alliance for a unique opportunity to showcase your talent at Astor Place/Cooper Union! We’re looking for one artist from each center to feature their artwork on an electrical box panel. One lucky winner from each center will be chosen by Village Alliance to have their artwork displayed for up to 2- months. (see example shown)

Details and how to apply:

  • Paintings, drawings, and graphic images are accepted.
  • Dimensions per center:
    • COS dimensions- 16″W x 24″L
    • IPN dimensions- 13″W x 16″L
    • WB dimensions- 14″W x 22″L
    • OLP dimensions- 13″W x 16″L
  • All submissions are due the week of May 20.
  • You must complete this form for submission
  • Upon completing the form, email to olderadults@greenwichhouse.org or bring the completed form with you to one of the photoshoot dates listed below.
  • One submission per member is allowed.
  • Forms and images of artwork will be collected and sent to Village Alliance for judging.
  • Winner will be announced in early June and contacted via email or phone.
  • The Marketing team will contact the winner with the next steps prior to the July 1 launch date.

All artwork will be photographed for judging purposes. Your artwork must be physically present on any of these dates during center lunch hours for the Marketing dept. to photograph:

Mon., May 20 at Center on the Square
Tues., May 21 at Independence Plaza
Weds., May 22 at Westbeth Center
Thurs., May 23 at Our Lady of Pompeii

Take your artwork back home with you after it’s been photographed. The center is not responsible for your art. This program is open to adults 60+.
