Greenwich Village Girls Basketball League Returns for the 2025–26 Season
The Greenwich Village Girls Basketball League is back for another exciting season! Beginning October 25, the league invites girls ages 9 to 15 to build skills, make friends, and experience the fun of team play in a supportive, inclusive environment.
The league offers divisions for both Juniors (ages 9–11) and Seniors (ages 12–15). No prior basketball experience is required—just a willingness to learn, grow, and have fun. Each season emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence-building both on and off the court.
Under the leadership of new Commissioner Jackie Reyneke, a former Princeton University basketball player and founder of the youth mindset coaching practice Power Forward, the league continues its mission of empowering girls through play and community.
The season runs October 25 through March 14, with games and practices held locally in Greenwich Village. Registration is open now at https://greenwichhouse.org/youth-services/girls-basketball.
