For the last two decades, Tejas, Manav and Aditya have all taken formal tabla training with Pt. Samir Chatterjee, an exponent of the Farrukhabad Gharana (style). Throughout their tutelage, the three of them have also cultivated expertise in a variety of other instruments (incl. dholak, pakhawaj, and drumset) and a variety of orthogonal disciplines (incl. jazz, blues, and western orchestral music). Confluence highlights three unique musical perspectives, shaped by varied musical backgrounds, with a fresh and complex take on the traditional tabla solo format.
