Theater Games to Play With Kids at Home or Over Zoom
Have creative kids at home? Running out of ideas for Zoom play dates? Take inspiration from the musical theater world with these five theater games, brought to you by Michelle Rodriguez and Ellen Winter, teachers of the Stage Struck musical theater class at Greenwich House Music School. Along with curing boredom, kids will get to practice storytelling, use their imagination, try improv, and do some physical comedy.
This time at home is the perfect opportunity to explore new creative skills. The Music School and The Pottery have been creating digital content for kids and adults alike to dive in and learn something new. Music School Faculty John Tafone developed an Intro to Songwriting lesson, and you can find beginner music theory lessons on the Music School’s Vimeo page.
The Pottery has live workshops and art history classes on Zoom every week. Find this week’s schedule and recordings of previous classes here. They also have put together resources for kids, like videos on how to create your own clay!
