Meet Gabriela Huaraca, LMHC  – Center for Resiliency and Wellness

As Assistant Clinical Director, Gabriela is dedicated to fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth and excellence in client care. In this Q&A, she shares insights into her journey, her approach to care, and her vision for the center.

Q. When did you join the Greenwich House community?

A. I joined on June 17, 2024.

Q. Describe your job in your own words.

A. As part of the Center for Resiliency and Wellness (CRW) leadership team, I provide effective clinical supervision to our therapy staff, reinforcing and supporting them while coaching on patient-oriented therapy. My role combines traditional psychotherapy with a practical, problem-solving approach to assist individuals in achieving self-sufficiency and positive treatment outcomes. Additionally, I provide direct care to individuals enrolled in treatment at CRW.

Q. What’s something you’re looking forward to, personally or professionally, in the next year?
 
A. I’m looking forward to further developing our team and enhancing the services we provide to better support our community.

Q. What’s something you enjoy doing outside of work?  

A. I enjoy reading and spending time with my friends and family doing new activities, such as trying out new restaurants, visiting museums, and attending events.

Q. What’s something your coworkers would be surprised to learn about you?

A. I’m a huge fan of classic horror movies and enjoy hosting horror movie marathons with friends.

A. The aspect of fostering connection resonates most with me, as I believe building strong relationships within the community is essential for collective wellness and growth.
