Dance Clarinets plays the music of Howard Johnson’s Gravity

Greenwich House Music School’s premiere jazz clarinet ensemble will honor Howard Johnson’s groundbreaking tuba music. The ensemble will also highlight music from the last decade of jazz clarinet concerts including compositions by Joseph Daley, James Jabbo Ware, Todd Marcus, Horace Silver, Thelonious Monk, Julius Hemphill, and more! Doors 7 pm, Concert 7:30 pm. Tickets are $20 available at the door only.

This concert is presented in memory of James Jabbo Ware. Dance Clarinets is supported, in part, by public funds from NYU, the New York State Council on the Arts, the offices of Governor Kathleen Hochul, and the New York State Legislature.
