The Center for Resiliency and Wellness (CRW) invites adults 60+ to embark on a restorative exploration of the five senses this month in honor of Emotional Wellness Month (October 1-31)!
Presented by Mila Ghose, Wellness Ambassador at the CRW, this engaging weeklong experience is designed to strengthen your emotional muscles, providing a toolkit to navigate the ever-changing seasons of life!
In the fast-paced and often chaotic world we inhabit, taking the time to nurture our emotional well-being is crucial. – Mila Ghose
This 45 to 60-minute group experience co-led delves into the world of touch, taste, smell, hearing, sight, and body kinesiology. Through a carefully curated blend of activities, participants will be guided in exploring these senses to promote emotional wellness and connection:
- Colorful Clays: Unleash your creativity and emotions by molding colorful clays. Express yourself through the art of shaping and molding, tapping into the therapeutic benefits of artistic expression.
- Herbs: Engage your sense of smell and taste with a variety of fresh and dried herbal samples. Learn about the healing properties of herbs and discover how they can contribute to your emotional well-being.
- Musical Selections: Immerse yourself in carefully chosen musical selections that evoke a range of emotions. Music has the power to uplift, soothe, and resonate with our innermost feelings, providing a unique avenue for emotional exploration.
- Guided Breathwork: Connect with your breath as an anchor to the present moment. Our guided breathwork sessions will help you cultivate mindfulness and bring awareness to your body, fostering a sense of calm and emotional balance.
- Playful Tools: Embrace the childlike joy of bubbles, adding an element of playfulness to the experience. Engage in activities that reconnect you with a sense of lightheartedness and simplicity.
