NYC Job Training, Skill-Building and Career Development Hub
As of Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., the Center’s morning classes/workshops are reserved for Phlebotomy students only.
The Lifelong Skills and Opportunity Center at Greenwich House is dedicated to helping New Yorkers succeed in today’s competitive job market and achieve financial stability through our career development services, job training workshops, and skill-building classes. The Center is open to all New Yorkers, including older adults aged 60+, individuals in recovery from substance use disorder, asylum seekers, and anyone seeking support to build a stable career path.
We offer a wide range of career and skill-building services tailored to each participant’s needs:
- Career Training and Job Skills Development – Our programs provide essential job skills across industries like healthcare, construction, food service, and more. With specialized training grants, we ensure our participants gain the skills they need to thrive, such as first aid and CPR certifications, Phlebotomy certification, and more.
- Job Search and Interview Assistance – From resume help to interview coaching, our career services are designed to support every aspect of your job search. We connect you with NYC job openings and recruitment events, making it easier to find the right job.
- Personalized Job Placement and Case Management – Through one-on-one case management, we provide NYC job seekers with personalized career guidance. Your advisor will help you identify the best job training options and guide you through your job search with career coaching tailored to your goals.
- Skill-Building Classes and Programs – Our workforce center offers a range of skill-building classes designed to help you succeed in today’s job market. From basic computer applications to advanced industry-specific training, our classes are structured to equip you with the practical skills needed for long-term career success.

We offer a range of personalized services to help you on your career journey. Our one-on-one support includes:
- Benefits Screenings – Get personalized guidance on benefits you may qualify for. By appointment. Email workforce@greenwichhouse.org or call 917-261-4598 to schedule.
- Job Counseling – Receive tailored job search support, resume assistance, and career advice. By appointment. Email workforce@greenwichhouse.org or call 917-261-4598 to book a session.
- Financial Planning Services – Work one-on-one with a counselor to create a financial plan that supports your goals. By appointment. Email workforce@greenwichhouse.org or call 917-261-4598 for assistance.
Computer Lab and Business Center
Our Computer Lab is open to Greenwich House members, providing access to essential tools like printing, scanning, and document signing.
- Regular Lab Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 – 10:30 a.m. and 1 – 2:30 p.m.
- Note: Lab hours may vary depending on scheduled events. Please review the monthly LSOC calendar to plan accordingly.
