Alice Mackler
September 16 – November 11, 2016
Greenwich House Pottery is pleased to announce that Alice Mackler has begun a two-month fellowship. The Greenwich House Pottery Residency and Fellowship is a program designed to support artists and their projects. Our goal is to open up our facility to raise awareness around the importance of the creative engagement with ceramics. These two opportunities continue our long history of resident artist and artist-in-residence programming. Ultimately, these efforts introduce more artists to the pleasure of clay and new perspectives that ceramics uniquely provides.
Alice Mackler was born in New York City where she lives and works. She received a certificate in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts (1957) earned a BA from Touro College (1979) and a BFA from the School of Visual Arts (1988). Alice has been a student of Greenwich House Pottery since 1999. Alice has exhibited in many group and solo exhibitions here in New York City; most recently “Mal Maison” at Maccarone and “Drawings” at Kerry Schuss, who represents Alice.
