Avi Green

Avi joined Greenwich House in January 2023 as the Computer and Technology Instructor, and the Computer Lab Manager, at Lifelong Skills.  With an affinity for people and for teaching; a natural curiosity and logical mind; and almost five decades of formal and informal experience with computers—Avi can empathize with his fellow computer user while thinking logically and employing his intuitive grasp of how computer programmers themselves were thinking when they designed the computer systems that can be so challenging to work with.  In his spare time, Avi enjoys reading, community, Israeli folk dancing, singing (he’s finally studying folk guitar), sacred texts (he also works as a cantor), recovery, and psychotherapy.
