Carly Moreno
Carly Moreno is a multidisciplinary artist working in photography, printmaking and ceramics. She graduated in 2015 with a BFA in Printmaking and Photography from Purchase College and has since been living and working in New York City. Her work addresses themes of growth, cycles, and the role of family in the subconscious and how this influences a person’s experience of public and private space. She explores these ideas through sequential narrative photography and collaging found images and objects. She also makes functional ceramics and began working with clay, weaving, and quilting as practices that connect her to the lineage of human traditions. She values both the analytical thinking involved in the curation of images as well as the technical skill of crafts and believes them to be innate human actions.
