Eli Thompson, LMSW
Eli Thompson, LMSW, joined the Center for Resiliency and Wellness at Greenwich House in July 2025. He is happy to return to the Greenwich House team after interning there in 2024. Eli works with people of all ages, using a person-centered approach to maintain a safe and nonjudgmental atmosphere. He believes in the importance of teamwork within the client-therapist relationship and focuses on collaboratively creating sustainable goals.
Eli has previously worked as a substance abuse counselor, where he learned how to navigate complex systems and advocate for clients situated within them. Eli has experience using a broad range of evidence-based interventions including CBT, psychodynamic therapy, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care.
Eli is a proud Brooklynite. Eli graduated from Lafayette College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Film & Media Studies. He attended social work school at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.
