Eva Conrad

Eva Conrad spent most of her adult life living in Appalachia, where she began her career in ceramics, within a rich craft environment. She received a BFA at Appalachian State University. She currently lives and works in Queens, where she creates functional and sculptural vessels. Eva’s work has a strong focus on exploring various techniques of color and pattern expression, always chasing new designs and colors. Their strong background in painting shows through in the maximalist surfaces. Eva sees teaching as an enriching way to be a part of a long history of pushing ceramics in new directions.
