Lindsay (Lou) Howard

Lindsey Howard is a ceramic sculptor born in Dallas, Texas and based in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from University of Northern Colorado in 2018 with a Bachelors in Art History. She has participated in group exhibitions in Texas, New York, California and Colorado. Most recently, she has exhibited with LAUNCH F18 and Field Projects in New York, NY. Her work explores consumption, sustainability and consumer ethics through satirized portraits of food. Mainly working in ceramic sculpture, her work highlights the ways we consume and how internet culture impacts material and food consumption. Within these topics, she traces ways in which the food industry is influenced by gender, sex, and race.
