Melissa Chattman, LCSW
Melissa received her Master’s in Social Work at The Columbia University School of Social Work. After completing her Master’s program, Melissa worked as a Primary Trauma-Informed Therapist in Brooklyn Public Schools. During this time, Melissa also worked as a Primary Clinical Therapist at Recovery Specialists in Manhattan. Melissa is currently on the staff at Greenwich House Children’s Safety Project as a Clinical Social Worker. At Greenwich House, Melissa works with children as young as 3 years old to young adults, helping each individual learn how to effectively cope with past trauma and current life stressors. Melissa’s genuine empathetic nature fosters a trusting and safe environment, where as a clinician, she is able to help clients find their voice in the therapeutic process as well as help each individual recognize and utilize their strengths in order to attain their therapeutic goals during their journey of healing.
