Pekky Marquez, LMSW
Maria Corina “Pekky” Marquez, LMSW joined the Center for Resiliency and Wellness at Greenwich House in April 2022. She currently works with kids, adults, and older adults dealing with issues ranging from depression and anxiety to domestic violence.
Her diverse professional experience includes: Crisis Intervention/Case Management, Mental Health Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Addiction Counseling, Program Development and PTSD Care.
Previously, Marquez worked as a substance abuse counselor, medical social worker and case manager for New York City and Chicago employers including Metropolitan Center for Mental Health, Catholic Charities’ Central States Institute for Addiction, John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County, FEGS PROS Bronx Clinic and FEGS WeCare Manhattan Clinic.
Marquez obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and English, and a Master’s degree in Social Work, from the University of South Carolina. She is fluent in Spanish and English. Her interests are with mental health issues in the immigrant and LGBTQ+ communities.
